From My Journal

I am not promised fulfillment just because I am a Mom.
My life is not complete just because I am a Mom.
Yes, there are moments of great reward and blessing along the parenting journey, but God’s Word never promises me that my children will bring me a life of total happiness and bliss.

But, of course, God’s greatest desire for me is not happiness and bliss.
His greatest desire for me is that I would be satisfied in HIM and HIM alone.
And His greatest instruction comes in my most difficult parenting moments.
Humbling moments.
Desperate moments.
I am totally dependent on Him.

Children are precious gifts.
Parenting is hard.
The parenting journey teaches me invaluable lessons about God’s love and sacrifice.
That’s what makes family so valuable.
