Can I just vent about my driving experiences in New Orleans? Is it just me or does it seem like way too many drivers have no concept of common courtesy on the highway? According to dictionary.com a turn signal is “a blinking light on a motor vehicle that indicates the direction in which the vehicle is about to turn.” It’s an ingenious idea! And this device is placed right on the side of the steering wheel so that you don’t have to reach that far to turn it on! So why do some drivers decide to put other drivers in danger by refusing to use it?! Oh, and by the way, also according to dictionary.com, an automobile horn is “a device on an automobile for making warning noises.” Needless to say, I used mine today for it’s intended purpose.
So aside from traffic, my day has been pretty good. Except for spilling Cherry Pomegranate Crystal Light on my white shirt, which is very predictable behavior for me. Thank God for Oxiclean. I spoke with Kevin, which always makes me happy. He informed me that he got his first pedicure while in Santa Fe yesterday. Maybe it’s just the sappy side of me, but for some reason I want us to do that together sometime—it seems romantic.
My plans this evening are pretty much the same as last evening—chill out at home with a movie. And oh yeah, remember the friend who I painted with. Well, she gave me a new book called Redeeming Love to thank me for my help. It’s a fictional retelling of the book of Hosea. Maybe I’ll start that as well! I'm not a big fan of Christian fiction, but she assures me that it will have me hooked. Until tomorrow…
Blessings,
