Some great friends of ours from Nicholls invited Kevin and I to the New Orleans Zephyrs game on Friday night. Neither of us are big baseball fans, but we do enjoy catching up with old friends whenever the opportunity presents itself. And one thing about baseball games, they’re usually pretty laid back so it’s easy to chat while watching without missing out on anything important. It turned out to be a great night except for the torrential downpour that we experienced about halfway through the game. Every time the rain would slack off we would head back to our wet seats hoping that it was over. After about three tries we gave up and headed to Cafe Du Monde for beignets and coffee. Final score: Cubs 5, Zephyrs 2.... we didn’t miss much.
