Our Little Guest

This week I got a taste of what life would be like with 2 kids! Kevin and I kept our niece, Divine, for a couple of nights to help out Kevin's Mom. I was a little nervous about having two little ones to care for, but everything went really smoothly. Divine is 5 years old, so she was more of a help than a hindrance. Not only is she pretty independent, but she was also very helpful, especially in keeping Silas occupied while I cooked or cleaned. She also enjoyed coloring, painting, watching Disney cartoons, and listening to Veggie Tales tunes (that cheeseburger song is still playing in my head!) while she was here. (Thanks, Mom and Sara, for the DVD's and activity books!) We even treated her to a McDonald's shake to reward her good behavior. Kevin took her home today, but not without some shed tears.
