"You will reap in your children's lives exactly what you sow as a parent. If you want to reap secure, mature adults, you must sow by the Spirit the seeds of time, togetherness, and training... You can no longer sow to please your own desires, but to please Christ."
~Clay Clarkson with Sally Clarkson, Educating the Wholehearted Child
"Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up"
As I sit before the Lord this afternoon, I am humbled by the great task that He has set before me. He has entrusted me with two little souls that I will one day present back to Him. Will I have sowed the seeds of time, togetherness, and training into their lives? Will I have been the best example of Christ to them that I could be? Will I have been a good steward of the gifts that He has given me? Will I be found faithful? I sit and beg for grace and strength. It's only by His grace and strength.
