Weekend Adventure

This weekend we embarked on a mini family vacation with some sweet friends!
We landed on Louisiana's North Shore, where we did a little relaxing, a little exploring, and had a fun family adventure at the Global Wildlife Center. It was our first visit, and we can't wait to go back!

The Celestin's & The Burch's ready to explore!

Mesmerized by all the animals...

I was a little unprepared for how cold it would be, but I managed to keep as warm as I could!

Deer Everywhere!

It felt like we were on an African safari!
This camel was named Aladdin. He's pretty old in camel years, but still had spunk enough to inhale some corn.
My boys were in heaven.
Silas made sure all the animals had a little lot of corn.
And so did Liam.
These geese are too fat to fly according to our tour guide. Too much corn.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I agree.

Sarah, meet Llama.
My little Liam was a pro at feeding the animals with Papa's help.
These bison were ready for their corn.
These guys were fast!
The giraffes were definitely the highlight!
Mr. Guy helping Silas feel the giraffes.
Kevin looks like he's done this before... hummm.
The two amigos.
On Sunday we had planned to spend the day outside exploring the St. Tammany Trace, but the weather was rainy and cold. So we made our way to New Orleans instead and hit up the Children's Museum. The boys didn't mind a bit.
Liam pushed his cart around like he owned the place.
Silas tried to master the Hula Hoop.

It was just the trip we needed to refresh and recharge for the new year!
