In case you haven't heard, on Monday, August 21, 2017 we will be experiencing the first total solar eclipse in the continental U.S. in 38 years! This would be the perfect time to do a few fun activities to teach your kiddos a little about astronomy. The boys and I plan to go to a viewing party at our local University. We also plan to do a few other fun activities to learn about and prepare for the eclipse. Below are 6 simple ways you can make the most of the solar eclipse with your kiddos to!
Happy (and SAFE) viewing!
1. Explore what the Bible says about astronomy.
2. Download a Junior Ranger Eclipse Explorer guide to learn more about eclipses.
5. Eat Moon Pies & Sun Ships for snacks.
6. Make paper eclipse art or paper plate craft.
Love,
Beth
