Deposits and Icecream

Today has been pretty uneventful so far. My boss is out of town so I haven’t had much work to do at the office, which I’m not complaining about. I’ve gotten a chance to study for my Sunday School lesson on Sunday. We’ve been studying through the book of Ephesians, and we’ve finally made it to chapter 4—the practical stuff. It’s been a really rich study, and I'm excited to talk about “the new life” on Sunday.

One particularly funny thing that I witnessed today was the lady in front of me at the ATM stuffing her deposit envelope into the slot where the money comes out. She struggled until she got it in, and to my surprise, when I got to the ATM, money actually came out of the slot (not her deposit envelope as I had anticipated). I also noticed the big picture of an envelope next to the slot that the envelopes are supposed to go in—guess she missed that. A little while later while I was in the bank (exchanging my $20 bill for $20 in quarters for laundry purposes), I saw her come in and request some help getting her envelope out of the machine. So I guess she did see the picture after all, just a little too late. That was my chuckle for the day :)

Tonight I’ll be hanging out with some friends of mine from church. I’ve never really “hung out” with this particular group before so I’m looking forward to getting to know them better. All I know is that I have to bring a snack, and I'm thinking that some cookies 'n cream Blue Bell icecream sounds like a great bonding food.

Last night without Kevin! Yay! Hopefully he doesn’t have to go out of town again too soon :)

Bye for now...
