Today marks the official first day of spring! Yay! Spring evokes different thoughts and different feelings for different people. For students (like Kevin) it means a much-needed break! For plant-lovers it means watching some of their favorite flowering plants come into full bloom. For the “fashion-ista” it means picking out just the right colors for a trendy new wardrobe. For accountants it means crunching numbers from sun up till sun down. For sports fans it means the beginning of another season of major league baseball. And the list goes on...
As I reflect on my own feelings toward Spring today, I can’t help but offer thanks to the One who created this wonderful season in the first place, without whom there would be no flowers or colors or reasons to enjoy Spring.
“And God said, ‘Let bright lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. They will be signs to mark off the seasons, the days, and the years.’” ~Genesis 1:14
“You made the moon to mark the seasons and the sun that knows when to set.” ~Psalm 104:19
I hope you will find time to be thankful today too :)
Praising our Great God,
Beth
