Kevin and I are so excited about our little boy growing inside of me! To give you a little insight into how we feel, we want to share this letter with you- a letter to our precious son.
Dear Silas,
My eyes swell with tears of joy as I think of you today. You have been inside of me for a whole twenty weeks now, and it’s been the greatest experience of my life. It was just a couple of weeks ago that I started feeling your first movements, and from that point on, I couldn’t imagine life without you. Although your dad and I had seen pictures of your little developing body before, nothing compared to the pictures that revealed to us that you were our precious baby boy-our firstborn son. Your little body was so perfect, a testimony to our great God who is knitting you together in my womb. We got a glimpse of your outgoing personality as you moved around and gave us the grand tour of all of your growing parts, from your big feet to your beautiful nose and lips. You even put your little pointer finger up just to remind us that you are our #1. We saw you stretch your arms over your head and cross your tiny ankles as if to let us know that all was well in your little world and that we have nothing to worry about. Your Dad and I anticipate the day when we meet you face to face. We already know that you are a strong boy, both inside and out. We are praying for you daily, knowing that this world is not an easy place to grow up in. We promise to teach you about Your Maker, the One who entrusted you to our care. We promise to guide you in the path of righteousness. We promise to love you and support you all the days of our lives. Know that you are safe with us. We have so much to learn about you, as you do about us. We praise God for this opportunity to be a part of your journey. You are so special to us.
