{I'm pretty sure I have the cutest 10 month old that ever lived. Just sayin'.}
Every time Liam turns a new month I always go back and check the ole' blog to see what Silas was up to at that age. I'm so glad I have those monthly updates for Silas but I'm equally as sad that I'm not keeping up with Liam in the same manner! All of my seasoned mom friends told me this would happen *sigh*
Anyway, instead of just giving up on the whole thing, I'm jumping right in at 10 months to give a little update on the cutest 10-month old that ever lived (in my humble opinion, of course ;)
I'll just begin by saying that the separation anxiety is at an all-time high right now. I had forgotten how clingy little ones can be when they think that if they can't see you, you don't exist! Sometimes I feel like I have to sneak around like a secret agent to get things done around the house. If Liam is playing by himself for a while, I can sneak away, but the moment he realizes I'm out-of-sight, it's all out hysterics until he finds me again. It can be quite exhausting, but I know it's just a season- one that my husband constantly reminds me I'll probably miss about a year from now! Isn't that just like motherhood?
As far as milestones, Liam is almost a walker! He is able to take steps on his own now. I think ten steps is his record so far. I have a feeling that he'll be running around come his 1st birthday. He also loves to climb, and the taller he gets, the more dangerous it becomes! He can officially climb into the bathtub on his own!
He loves to clap and tries to say "yay!" when he claps. I'm pretty sure he understands a few words, mostly related to food since he LOVES to eat! It's been a totally different experience with feeding this time around. I dreaded mealtime with Silas because he was/still is a picky eater. Liam pretty much eats whatever you put in front of him, which makes mealtime much more enjoyable. The fact that he has eight teeth also helps out at mealtime!
Liam is still very much laid back. He's pretty easy to please and pretty portable for the most part. Unfortunately this winter hasn't been easy on him. He's been sick a lot with ear infections, colds, and coughs.
One of my favorite things about Liam is that he sleeps all night!! He started sleeping all night at about 9 months, which was a surprise to me since his brother took over a year to learn that skill! It's amazing how much a full night's sleep can impact a mother's productivity!
It's been so special to see Liam and Silas' relationship blossom. It's no secret that Silas loves his brother and is very protective over him. Liam loves Silas to, but, unfortunately he shows it in ways that annoy Silas- like chewing on Silas' toys or pulling his hair! There are also moments of sibling rivalry, which I know won't be going away any time soon!
These last 10-months have really flown by. It's hard to imagine that we'll be having a 1st birthday party next month! It's been such a joy. We love you, Liam!
