Weekend Reading

Friday Morning Playtime
(As someone who has an innate drive to create, especially with my words, this post encouraged me. Although I don't have much time to invest in writing in this particular season of life, the little moments that I do have will no doubt add up in the end.)

(I read this post 12 times if I read it once. It completely resonated with me. I've often felt guilty for pursuing my personal passion for writing, as if pursuing it would be to the neglect my family. But the truth is, finding little moments here and there to write actually energizes me and eases the mundane of everyday life. It excites me, and that's good for my family. Of course, I have to be creative in finding the time. Jessica address finding time in her post, On Writing: Finding Time and Making it Happen. And, like her, my iphone notepad is swarming with all of my writing ideas!)

You Need to Change :: Desiring God
(This post was very convicting in that it challenged me to be more specific and honest with God about my own need for sanctification.)

Nations Night :: Gilbert Family
(My friend, Cole, wrote a very encouraging post about being intentional to focus on God's heart for the nations in our own homes. She gives tons of practical ideas that I hope to implement in our family.)

Have a great weekend!
