|The never-ending laundry pile|
Thankful for... laundry. The Bible says to be "thankful in everything," so I guess that includes folding laundry, right?
Listening to... the sound of silence. Liam is napping and Silas is joining his Papa for a nursing home visit. I'm soaking it in like a sponge.
Wondering... if I can scrounge enough food from my refrigerator and pantry to get us through to Friday. I really, really don't want to go grocery shopping.
Hoping... that the people of Boston seek and find the God of Peace in the aftermath of the horrible tragedy that came upon them yesterday. My prayers are with them as they recover.
Looking forward to... a weekend away with my hubby and some fellow church members to attend a Discipleship conference in Tennessee! I will miss my boys terribly, but I know that Mimi and Pop Joe will have no problem holding down the fort until we return.
Creating... pretty piles of laundry.
Reading... Biblical Womanhood 101. My discipleship group is on week 6 of this book. It's been a great reminder of God's unique design for women.
Learning... not to let my emotions get in the way of truth. We women were created with wacky hormones, and it's so easy to let them take over!
Reminding myself... "and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Mark 10:44-45)
Praying... Lord, help me to serve joyfully, whether it be my family, my church, or the world around me.
Hope your Tuesday is a thoughtful one!
