As I mentioned in my previous post, we enjoyed having my beautiful nieces over last week. We miss having them around this week! |
Thankful for... my husband. He is a man totally surrendered to God, and it shows not only in our home but also in our church family. Point of Vue magazine recently did an article on his life. Click over to read it.
Listening to... books hitting the floor. Liam is rummaging through a big box of children's books passed on to us from my Aunt and her family (thanks, Aunt Steph!)
Wondering... if I need a new bookshelf for all these new-to-us books?
Hoping... that we survive the two-year molars. My sweet Liam has been suffering through the arrival of these monster teeth for days.
Looking forward to... July! there are so many fun things happening this month, including a little anniversary get-away for Kevin and I!
Creating... some light lesson plans for this coming school year. Silas is really excited to start pre-k, and I'm excited to officially start our homeschool journey.
Reading... through the Psalms. David's words, prompted by the Holy Spirit's leading, have brought comfort to my soul this summer.
Learning... about patterns in the Psalms. David often speaks to God first and then to men. Charles Spurgeon says in his Treasury of David, "Surely we should all speak the more boldly to men if we had more constant converse with God. He who dares to face his Maker will not tremble before the sons of men."
Reminding myself... to make prayer a priority.
Praying for... my husband as he prepares to preach the Word on Sunday. My friend and fellow pastor's wife, Cole Gilbert, wrote an excellent article called Praying for your Pastor. It was very timely and convicted my heart to intercede for my pastor (who happens to be my husband) on a daily basis. Thanks, Cole!
What are your thoughts this lovely Tuesday?
