New Semester

I’ve decided to return to my blog this morning. It’s been a while since I’ve written. I’ll try to recap the last few days as best I can remember. Friday night was date night—my favorite! Kevin and I ventured out to a little corner restaurant called Nacho Mama’s. I had been wanting to eat there—I love tex-mex! We soon figured out that it is a very popular spot. Although our wait was only 25 minutes, by the time we were seated, I heard the hostess telling people that the wait was 1 hour! But now I know why people wait in line to eat there—It was delish! And the atmosphere was enjoyable as well. After diner, we went to see the movie No Reservations, which I loved. It was a little sad, but I like sad sometimes. I recommend it! Kevin had his doubts because I usually pick bad movies, but he was impressed this time.

Saturday took us to Pierre Part (my hometown) where Kevin preached for New Covenant Community Church’s (the church my Dad pastors) youth guy’s retreat in the afternoon. We spent the night at my parents, and Kevin and I left for Raceland on Sunday morning where Kevin supply preached for First Baptist Raceland. After church on Sunday, we went BACK to Pierre Part for a family gathering at my aunt and uncle’s house. We had lots of yummy boiled crabs and shrimp—delish! We also spent time in the pool playing a hilarious yet slightly competitive game of pool volleyball—it was great! I wish I had pictures. Kevin and I were both so worn out by Sunday night that we hit the sack about 9:30 pm. I slept like a baby.

Kevin started school yesterday, which means back to routine. I think Kevin and I are both ready for that though. The semesters seem to keep our lives on track. It looks like this is going to be a good week :)
