Fruit Salad

I've been blessed by a new Bible study that I started called Living Beyond Yourself: Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit by Beth Moore. Since Silas was born I've struggled to get back into God's Word on a daily basis. My priorities shifted for a while, and Silas became #1. I was soon reminded that my strength doesn't come from caring for a newborn baby, but from God and His Word. So in an effort to RE-prioritize, I'm trying to find time each day to renew my Spirit. This Bible study is timely for me, as the stress of new transitions, not to mention the postpartum hormone roller coaster, have had me UN-patient and UN-kind these last few months (and that's UN-good, Amen? :) But thank God He doesn't expect me to handle life on my own. He has sent the Helper, the Holy Spirit, to enable me to live beyond myself. As Beth Moore puts it in the study, "Through the Holy Spirit I can DO things I COULDN'T, FEEL things I DIDN'T, and KNOW things I WOULDN'T." Praise God! I'm loving the study. I signed up online here and it's been well worth my time and money! Check it out (if you haven't already) if you're looking for a new Bible study, especially if you're like me and not plugged in to a Bible study group right now. Before I go, here's a list of the fruit of the Spirit as a reminder of what we CAN be in Christ if we simply yield control to Him. Lord, make me a fruit salad for You!
