We had such an eventful weekend. All I feel like doing this afternoon is curling up on the couch with a blanket and my laptop while the toddler takes his afternoon siesta. So that's what I'm doing. The chores can wait one more day, right? *smile*
When I say "eventful," I mean it in a good way. In the best way, in fact. A weekend filled with friends, family, food, and fun! Who could ask for more? We traveled to the North Shore on Friday to catch up with some wonderful friends (the Cooke's) that we met while in seminary, we spent the day with Kevin's family on Saturday, we enjoyed lunch with our church family on Sunday for our fifth Sunday fellowship, and we spent the rest of the afternoon Sunday with my family. I can't remember the last time we've had a full and satisfying weekend! God is good.
I didn't get pics on Saturday and Sunday, but I did get a few pics on Friday when we visited with the Cooke's. This was the first time that Silas and Sawyer played together, and it was precious. Silas thought Sawyer was the funniest thing. And I was so happy that Silas actually had a BOY to play with! Haha! He seems to be surrounded by girls!

The boys sat under Sawyer's baby sister's baby gym and played with cars together. |

Then they spent some time playing outside in Sawyer's play house. This is when I really noticed the difference between the way boys and girls play. The only thing the boys wanted to do was jump out of the playhouse windows! Sawyer was good at it since he's a little older, but Silas made me really nervous! He would just throw himself out of the window, nearly breaking his neck every time! I wanted to take pictures of the whole thing, but I had to catch Silas every time he jumped out of the window! Haha! |

They had so much fun in the play house. They were both soaked with sweat and covered in grass by the time playtime was over. |

My rosy-cheeked boy laughing hysterically at his friend Sawyer. |
After the boys got baths, they enjoyed playing in Sawyer's cool Jeep.
|
And, of course, this post wouldn't be complete without a picture of precious Baby Lola who we got to meet for the first time. She is such a sweet baby! We miss this beautiful family! |
