Thankfully, the
snot is subsiding in our home, and we're all feeling a little better. Liam still has a runny nose, and I have a bit of a lingering cough, but for the most part, it's been back to business.
After a few days of being "off-duty" last week, I called in reinforcements on the weekend and tackled all of the built-up messes. Kevin surprised me by washing the dishes and mopping the floors on Saturday morning while I was at church helping with a project. (I have a good man.) Then Saturday afternoon, I had a sweet young lady from church come and help with the boys so that I could finish up my chores and prepare for church on Sunday. I'm so thankful that the sweet Mama's at our church share their little girls with me. I don't know what I'd do without them!
Saturday evening the boys and I enjoyed a "
Green Hour" before wrapping up our day.

Our $7 pool finally busted after almost daily use this summer. We tried to patch it up with duct tape- to no avail. I took it as my cue that summer has indeed ended and Fall is right around the corner! |
|
Hurricane Isaac demolished our swing set. Since our pool was out of commission, the boys decided to use used the swing set slide as a pretend "river." |

Silas has been REALLY in to frogs lately. Lord, help me. |
In other news,
I completed another item on my short summer bucket list
and bought a watermelon! It was sweeter than I expected, but I don't
think I'll be buying another one until next summer. Another cue that
Fall is approaching...
This week, we were back into the swing of things.
